I hope you are staying safe and healthy at this time and ensuring that you are keeping contact with others down to a minimum as advised.

GCSE Exam Update

In terms of your GCSE exams you should know by now that your summer exams have been cancelled so I know you will be worried and apprehensive as to what will happen next.

What I can tell you is that we are working closely with the Exam boards regarding the next steps concerning assessing you and awarding grades for the subjects you are taking. What we do know is that all forms of current assessment will be used to create your grades, so not just your latest trial exams but all other assessments and work will be used as well so the process is as fair as possible.

Therefore we will need to have access to all of your coursework that you may have with you right now. We will contact you soon to let you know when and how to pass this work on to us but for now continue to work on and improve it as much as you can from home.

Please continue to complete the work being set by your teachers on a daily basis as they will soon be using all the information they have about you to enable them to create a grade.

Remember learning lasts forever. All the work, skills and knowledge you now have is yours to keep. Exams are a day and a grade, don’t lose sight of the fact that the learning is what mattered.
