At Oasis Academy Enfield, we are so proud of the very first person to be coached at Oasis Basketball Academy to have received a full academic scholarship to Marquette University! Such an inspiration with your hard work and dedication you've made the whole school proud.
One of our outgoing Year 13 students Enoch has been not a model student in his academic career but also an outstanding role model to our younger students. Throughout his 7 years at OAE, he has mentored younger students with their reading, coached players of all ages through the Basketball Academy and regularly represented the Academy and the student body as Head boy.
In his own words, his main motivation is to help others who aren't able to help themselves and his passion to study physical therapy is a result of his mother’s accident when he was younger, where she suffered chronic skeletal damage.
In Year 9 he joined the Oasis Basketball Academy (OBA), taking part in training before, during and after school as well as regular games. All of this, around his studies. As a result of his commitment and high grade point average at GCSE and 6thform, he was awarded a full Père Marquette Scholarship of $24,500 per academic year ($12,250 per semester for up to eight semesters) in Milwaukee, America to study Exercise Physiology from Sept 2024.
Enoch has been a pleasure to have in our school community. He is hard working dedicated and a real leader. He naturally uses his initiative and has high expectations of himself and others and we know he will succeed in his next step and look forward to hearing all of his future achievements.
Wishing you all the luck with your next chapter. πππΎππΎπ§‘π
