After careful consideration and extensive discussions with the local authority, we would like to propose that we add a Resource Provision for students with Autism.   As part of our commitment to ensuring fair and transparent admission processes, we are currently reviewing the proposed admission arrangements for entry in September 2026. We are considering the introduction of a new SEN Provision for secondary aged students with autism. The provision is designed to strengthen our inclusive practice and ensure every young person in our community receives the personalised support they need to flourish. This provision would allow us to offer specialist expertise within the heart of our mainstream school, ensuring students with additional needs remain connected, supported, and fully involved in academy life.

Before any decisions are made, we are consulting with parents and carers. Your perspectives will play a central role in shaping our next steps, and we encourage you to share your views during this consultation period.Consultation Period:

We understand that you may have questions regarding this decision. We will be hosting a consultation session, where we will be available to provide detailed information and address any queries you may have.

  • The consultation period begins on 21st May 2026 and ends on 25th June 2026.
  • We will also be hosting an information event session on 3rd June at 5pm at OAE in our assembly hall. We kindly invite you to attend to share any thoughts you may have regarding this proposal.
  • We value your input, and decisions will be made based on responses received during this period.
