Options Process

Here at Oasis Academy Enfield we are passionate about ensuring our young people are not only given a choice in their future but feel empowered and informed about what their options are.

In year 9 students make some very important decisions about what they are going to study in years 9, 10 and 11. When deciding on their Pathway Choices it is important to have a balance of subjects that reflect their abilities, talent and interests. We run a Pathways Information Evening in February to help year 9 students and their families make good choices.

In Year 11 we run an open evening for the Sixth Form where you can see all of the courses on offer, at level three (A Levels and BTEC) and level two (equivalent to GCSEs).

Courses on offer in Years 10 and 11
All students must take:  GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature, GCSE Mathematics, at least GCSE Additional  Science, and core PE
The majority of students follow an EBacc pathway meaning that you take:  GCSE French, Spanish or Turkish, and GCSE Geography or History
Students then choose from the following options: Students then choose from the following options: GCSE Art, GCSE Business Studies, GCSE Computer Science, BTEC Performing Arts, BTEC Product Design, GCSE Physical Education or GCSE Religious Studies.
Each year we adapt our curriculum to suit our students need and demands so the options list can vary slightly
