Global Partnerships
Oasis responds to the local needs of 51 communities across the globe, which requires an enormous amount of support and resource.
Global partnering is one of the ways our academies can support the varying needs of country specific programmes. From providing funds and gifts in kind, to arranging visits during the holidays to offer more hands-on help.
Oasis Academy Enfield is partnered with Oasis Uganda and Oasis Kyrgyzstan.
Here at Oasis Academy Enfield, we do our best to support and help Uganda and Kyrgyzstan to thrive. We do this by raising awareness with community events, organising fundraising drives.
Some of the events we have hosted over the last year include:
- Cake sales
- Sponsored activities
- Summer Fayre
Oasis in Uganda started in 2001 in Kampala, to prevent vulnerable girls from slums ending up on the streets and being exploited.
This focus has since expanded to assist in the creation of thriving communities through health, education and IT training, as well as income generating groups. Oasis has hubs in three Ugandan locations: Kampala the capital, Pader in the north of the country, and Mbale in the East. Within these three communities Oasis provide holistic care including Health and Wellbeing, Livelihoods, Family Empowerment and Education and run multiple projects designed to support the whole community.
Oasis in Kyrgyzstan is involved in a diverse range of partnerships, projects, services and initiatives. Their aim is to improve lives through integration, opportunity and community transformation.
Oasis has been running projects in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan since 2008, and walks alongside young people who have been raised in orphanages and vulnerable women in marginalized communities.
