Academy Lunches

At lunchtime we encourage students to have an Academy meal. These are cooked on site and are nutritionally balanced. We always offer a choice including vegetarian and Halal.

The Academy restaurant serves breakfast as from 8:00 to 8:30 and provides hot and cold snacks at break time between 11:00 to 11:20. Lunchtime is from 13:20 to 14:00 in the restaurant, students are all comfortably served within the forty minutes. Vegetarian options are always available and all of our chicken is halal-compliant. When pork is served a halal alternative is always available.

Year 7 to 11 students must remain on site at break and lunchtime. Snacks and sandwiches are available at break time. The lunch time menus are available below. Sixth Form students are allowed off site at break and lunchtime. They are expected to return in good time for lessons or independent study sessions.

We operate a cashless system at the Academy and students are logged onto the system via 2 fingerprint-operated machines. Parents and carers must prepay for lunches. Free Academy meals are available to families who qualify for this benefit - please use the Free School Meals Checking Service below to see if you are eligible.

Alternatively children may bring a packed lunch. We ask parents and carers providing packed lunches to choose healthy options with a balanced selection of food including fruit and vegetables, juice and/or water. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school each day which can be refilled at our fountains.
