Mrs Emma Robinson
Principal
Leadership and Management of the Academy
Mrs Robinson is the Principal at Oasis Academy Enfield. Originally from Sheffield, she graduated from Liverpool University with a BSc in Health Sciences. She then went onto complete her PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University. Mrs Robinson moved to London as soon as she qualified as a teacher, working in inner city London schools for over 20 years.
Her first science teaching job, saw her begin her leadership journey as the KS3 Co-ordinator for Science. She then went onto become the Head of Biology and later the Head of Science. Mrs Robinson, moved to an academy in Islington to continue her teaching and leadership journey.
Over the last 21 years, Mrs Robinson spent a year as the Acting Headteacher of a school that specialises in supporting students with autism. An Assistant Principal and then Deputy Principal at an all through school, where she was responsible for the curriculum development, timetable, staff wellbeing, behaviour for learning and raising attainment in each of the core subjects.
Mrs Robinson joined the Oasis Trust and Oasis Academy Enfield in 2024, as the Principal. She is passionate about inclusion and ensuring that all students reach their potential, and beyond. She is exceptionally excited about what the future holds for this community school.

Ms Madeleine Lewis
Deputy Principal
Ms Lewis grew up in Swansea, South Wales before moving to Hertfordshire in 2013. Before then she studied Music at the Cardiff University, School of Music, majoring in Piano. She continued her studies, completing her Master’s in Education whilst working as a Head of Music in her first full time role. Her passion for teaching and sharing her love of the Arts starting whilst at University, where she taught piano to a range of ages and continued to do so until she relocated.
Ms Lewis worked her way up from Head of Music to Head of Performing Arts before she began her role of Assistant Principal in April 2021, progressing to Deputy Principal in July 2024. Ms Lewis currently leads on Year 11, examinations and assessment, student progress and whole school enrichment with OAE. Ms Lewis is part way through studying for her NPQH and is looking forward to completing this next year.
Mr Keith Deidrick
Assistant Principal
Attendance and Behaviour
Mr Deidrick is the Assistant Principal for Behaviour and Attendance. He completed his early studies to 6th form level in Luton, where he grew up. From there he went on to study BSC Biomedical Science at Brunel University in West London. This is where he met a Teach First campus mentor who explained a great pathway into teaching through their ‘Leadership Development Programme’. After completing initial teacher training with Kings College London, Mr Deidrick gained his PGCE in secondary teaching, becoming a Teach First ambassador in the process.
Mr Deidrick has been teaching in secondary schools in Enfield for 12 years and has previous experience as a Deputy Head of Department and a Lead Practitioner, before taking the step into senior leadership at Oasis Academy Enfield. Working in Enfield for so many years, shows the passion that Mr Deidrick has for the students in this community. Coming from a similar background, he aims to be the difference maker in students’ lives, supporting them to be the best they can be in school and in their futures. He believes in the unlimited potential of young people, despite challenging circumstances and works diligently to help students realise this potential.
Ms Claudette Dennis
Assistant Principal
SEND and Inclusion
Ms Dennis grew up in Enfield, North London, she attended a challenging state school and then went on to achieve an undergraduate degree in Analytical Chemistry studying at University College London.
Ms Dennis began her career as an Analytical Chemist working for Unilever, one of the world’s largest consumer companies. Through wanting to share her love of learning and science she became a science teacher. After spending some time teaching, working as a Head of Science Faculty she became an Assistant Principal of Data and Exams leading departments and students successfully through adversity during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is where she developed a passion for working with students with special educational needs and disabilities wanting to ensure that every child has the best chance at being successful. Ms Dennis is immensely proud to be Assistant Principal of Send and Inclusion working with our most vulnerable students and the community to ensure all young people have equal opportunities.
Mr Martin Young
Assistant Principal
Head of Key Stage 5 Provision
Mr Young grew up in Carlisle, attending Trinity School, Carlisle’s largest Secondary School in the centre of the city. After completing his A Levels in History, Computer Science and Psychology, he studied a History Degree at the University of Leeds where he also completed his PGCE.
Mr Young taught in Watford for 13 years and has been a Head of Sixth Form since 2013, joining OAE in September 2020 to lead our Sixth Form. He has been the Educational Visits Coordinator for the Academy and is also an ECT mentor. Mr Young completed his NPQSL and is continuing his professional development by studying for an NPQH. Mr Young has a passion for working with Key Stage 5 students preparing them for their next step into Higher Education, apprenticeships or employment and believes firmly in the power of education to transform the life chances of our young people.
Miss Nevotna Robinson
Assistant Principal
Personal and Teacher Development
Miss Robinson grew up locally in Enfield, attending a challenging school yet achieving great GCSE and A-Level results. Miss Robinson completed a degree in Philosophy (BA hons). She discovered her passion for teaching when she taught at a local Contemporary Dance Company. Miss Robinson then decided to complete a SCITT (PGCE) course in Religious Education 2013 in Luton and taught there for three years.
Miss Robinson is delighted to have the opportunity to return to her local community and provide students with opportunities to step into their greatness. Miss Robinson joined the Oasis family in April 2016 as the Head of RS. She led the department from strength to strength, ensuring consistently excellent student outcomes for over six years. Before becoming an Assistant Principal, Miss Robinson was seconded on to the Academy Leadership Team leading Personal Development. Miss Robinson is committed to instilling self-belief and positive values in students to enable them to achieve their potential. Miss Robinson now leads on Teacher Development specifically ITT/ECTs, new staff induction and CPD.
Ms Hanen Alaya
Assistant Principal
Ms Alaya began her career as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher in 2008 at a school in Hertfordshire and has since developed a strong track record of educational leadership. For the past nine years, she has served as Head of MFL, where she has significantly enhanced the department's performance. Since joining Oasis Academy Enfield in 2019, Ms Alaya has driven substantial improvements in student outcomes, with the MFL faculty achieving impressive progress scores.
Ms Alaya is deeply committed to ensuring that students experience a well-rounded and enriching school life. She believes that education extends beyond academics, encompassing the social, emotional, and cultural development of every student. Her leadership of a successful Year 10 student leadership project reflects her dedication to nurturing leadership skills and encouraging active participation within the school community.
Passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive school culture, Ms Alaya remains focused on driving academic excellence while also supporting the holistic development of students at Oasis Academy Enfield. Her professional commitment is to prepare students not only for academic success but also to become well-rounded individuals ready to thrive in life beyond the classroom.
